Mrs. Nellie F. Rhodes, 86 of Liberty passed away August 6, 2008 at home.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Martha Westfall; husbands William Rhodes and James King; brother Robert Westfall and sisters Myrtle Good, Belle Sigmon, Ednie Sigmon, Della Myers, Cora Canter and Oma Fields.
She is survived by her children Preston Bailey of Liberty and Noble Eugene and wife Nancy Davis of Leroy; six stepchildren Marie and Darnell Beckner of Liberty, James and Joe King of Liberty, Hildun Muck of Liberty, Purvis and Charlotte King of Winfield, Goldie Kersey of Parkersburg and Betty and Ray Higginbotham of Circleville, OH; 21 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A tribute to the life of Nellie will be 2:00 PM Friday August 8, 2008 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Humphrey officiating.  Burial will follow in the King Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.

CSM (Ret) Charles L. Cadle, retired U.S. Army, 87, died August 3, 2008.  He was a resident of Marion, NC formerly of Poca, WV.
He was the son of the late Orval L. and Dessie Graham Cadle and was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Cadle Taylor and his wife of sixty-one years, Virginia Wallace Cadle.
CSM Cadle served during World War II followed by a career with the West Virginia National Guard until his retirement in 1980.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlene Cadle Hollifield of Marion, NC; son-in-law Gene E. Hollifield of Marion, NC; two grandchildren, Scott W. Sisk of Carolina, WV, Jenni W. Ruebusch of Marion, NC and five great grandchildren Robbie, Charles, and Anna Jean of Carolina, WV and Connor and Morgan of Marion, NC.
He was a member for over fifty years of Beni Kedem Shrine Center of Charleston, WV and the Masonic Dunbar Lodge No. 156, A.F. & A. M. of Dunbar, WV.
 A tribute to the life of Command Sergeant Major Charles L. Cadle will be 1:00 PM Thursday August 7, 2008 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment with military honors will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens; Cross Lanes. The family will receive friends at Cross Lanes United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095.
