Mrs. Eunice Mae Meeks Null passed away December 30, 2007 in CAMC Memorial Hospital due to complications of open-heart surgery at age 81.  She was born on August 22, 1926 to Herbert and Blanche Meeks (deceased).  She was a descendant of Sam and Mollie Gibson and Virgie and Major Meeks.  Sammy Gibson, Jr. of Belle is her only surviving uncle.
She was a homemaker and member of the Lone Oak Church at Red House.  She was a youth leader at Wilkinson Memorial Church and secretary and youth leader at Hometown Church of God Mission. She also sang in many church choirs in area churches.
She married Ralph Null on April 3, 1943 who preceded her in death on December 4, 1996.  To this marriage were born five children, sons, Ralph Wayne (Tink) Null, who preceded her in death in January 2002 and daughter-in-law Karen Null of Chambersburg, PA, Jerry and Letha Null of Eleanor and Eddie and Marie Null of Poca, daughters Pamela Smith of Nitro and Kenny Smith, son-in-law who preceded her in death in 2005, Charlotte and John Ryan of Morristown, NJ.  She is survived by one granddaughter Tina (Rich) Smith and seven grandsons, Alan Conway, David (Linda), Adam (Candy), Anthony, Heath (Renee) and Jake (Kasey) Null and Chad (Amy) and Cade (Jennifer) Reedy.  She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren Abby, Nettie, Elizabeth, Elias, Sarah, Michala, Makenlee, Michael, Justin and Maddux Null, Charlie (Nicole), Curtis, Dustin and Kori Conway, Payton Smith and Taylor Reedy, one great-great grandson Dalton Conway.
Two sisters preceded her in death Virginia Dare McClintock and Betty McGrew.  She is survived by three sisters Molly Brown of Hometown, Katie Muck of Red House and JoAnn Walls of Florida; three brothers Eugene of Hometown, Harley of North Carolina and Guy Meeks of Hometown and Florida.  Special friends and neighbors Wayne and Nancy Bennett. Several nieces and nephew and many friends and neighbors who were very dear to her.
Visitation will be at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home on Friday January 4 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home on Saturday, January 5, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ray Parsons, Paul Arthur, Grandson Adam Null and Wayne Bennett will deliver the Eulogy. Entombment will follow in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens and Crematorium; Red House.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons and honorary pallbearer will be Freddie McGrew.
In lieu of flowers Eunice requested that donations be made to the Lone Oak Lady’s Group C/O June Noffsinger, Rt. 1 Box 82 Red House, WV 25168.

Mr. John E. McCoy, 58 of St. Albans passed away January 26, 2008 in the VA Medical Center.
John is retired from the City of St. Albans; Army Veteran of Vietnam and a disabled Veteran.
John is survived by his wife Connie S. McCoy; children John E. McCoy, II and wife Jeniffer of St. Albans, Tammy McCoy Branham and husband Ricky of Charleston and Melissa McCoy Gilmore and husband Richard, Jr. of St Albans; four sisters Effie Willis of Sissonville, LaDonna Parsons of Red House, Virginia Spaulding of Eleanor and Joyce Powell of GA; seven grandchildren Shawn, Tony, John Michael, Kaylee, Tierra, Aylissa and Chase.  John is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A tribute to the life of John will be 7:00 PM Wednesday January 30, 2008 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Roncaglione officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas Gene Burnside, 81 of Hometown went home to be with the Lord May 13, 2008 in CAMC Teays Valley Hospital.
Mr. Burnside is retired from Union Carbide with 27 years of service; Army Air Corp Veteran and a member of Hometown Independent Mission.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Debra Burnside and great grandson Noah.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Mrs. Helen Burnside; children David and wife Joyce Burnside of Hamlin and Roger and wife Deanna Burnside of Hometown; grandchildren Randy and Michele Burnside of Hurricane, Shane and Jill Burnside of Red House and Nicole and husband Randy Cartrette of Whiteville, NC; great grandchildren Kaylee Cartrette, Shayna and Braden Burnside; brother John Burnside; sister Wilma VanNorstrom; half-sister Oma McLane and half-brothers Bob and Baine Hughes.
A tribute to the life of Mr. Thomas Gene Burnside will be 2:00 PM Friday May 16, 2008 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home with Pastors Joe Scarberry, John Taylor and Darren Persinger officiating.  Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens and Crematorium; Red House.  The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mary Jane Lett, 73 of Bancroft went home to be with the Lord June 9, 2008 in CAMC Memorial Division.
Mary Jane is a faithful member of Rock Branch Independent Church.  She loved her family and devoted her life to God, her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son Stanley Dale Lett; parents Leslie and Mae Wolfe and brother Paul David Wolfe.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 56 years, Mr. Bobbie J. Lett; son Terry and wife Mona Lett of Poca; grandchildren Jason Lett of Poca, Tara Jo Honaker of Nashville, TN, Travis Lett of Poca and Jessica Lett of Poca; great grandchildren Aiden Honaker and Karissa Lett; sisters Shirley Hamilton of Hurricane and Alice Faye Sellers of Nicholasville, KY and brothers Donald Lee Wolfe of St. Albans and Leslie Dale Wolfe of Leon.
A tribute to the life of Mary Jane Lett will be 11:00 AM Thursday June 12, 2008 at Rock Branch Independent Church with Pastor Delbert L. Hawley officiating.  Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home.
